Global Tower Partners to Acquire TCP Communications

GTP’s Rapid Expansion Continues with New Communication Towers in the Eastern U.S.

BOCA RATON, FL, January 20 – Wireless Tower consolidator Global Tower Partners (“GTP”) today announced the signing of a definitive agreement to acquire wireless communications assets from TCP Communications (“TCP”). TCP is a privately held tower management company with 209 built towers and 24 tower sites under development located throughout the United States.

“The TCP team has done an impressive job over the last three years assembling, developing and operating a high quality group of towers and we are very pleased to welcome these assets into our growing portfolio,” said Marc C. Ganzi, Chief Executive Officer, Global Tower Partners. "The TCP acquisition will contribute greatly to our expansion in the Northeast and Midwest portions of the country."

“We are proud of the towers we have acquired and developed at TCP through the years, and believe that GTP is well positioned to benefit from owning these assets” said Paul McGinn, Chief Executive Officer of TCP. “We are looking forward to working with the team of professionals at GTP and closing this transaction in short order.”

"The TCP portfolio is a natural fit with GTP’s existing towers in our core markets” said Terry Armant, Senior Vice President of Development, Global Tower Partners. "Furthermore, we are excited to finish the great work that TCP has started in the Northeast and helping our mutual customers address their rapidly growing coverage needs in this part of the country."

Post the closing of the TCP acquisition, GTP will own, manage and master lease some 7,400 wireless communications sites throughout the United States, including 2,000 owned communications towers. The transaction is expected to close later this month and catapult GTP as the largest private owner of wireless towers in the United States. TCP was represented by San Francisco based Media Venture Partners in the transaction. As privately held entities, GTP and TCP consider the terms and conditions of the definitive agreements proprietary.
