Acquisition Provides GTP with an additional 241 Wireless Antenna Sites in the Southeast.
BOCA RATON, FL, April 20 – Global Tower Partners (“GTP”) today announced the definitive closing of ANI Site Development (“ANI”). The ANI portfolio will contribute 241 new towers and rooftop sites to GTP’s growing national site portfolio. ANI, a privately held site development company is one of the largest site management companies in Florida. Incorporated in 1989, it has a solid track record of success in developing wireless facilities in partnership with leading tower and commercial property owners throughout Florida and the Southeast.
"The addition of ANI to the GTP family solidifies our position as a leading developer and manager of wireless antenna facilities on structures and rooftops throughout the United States," said Marc C. Ganzi, Chief Executive Officer of Global Tower Partners. “The ANI acquisition will also supplement our presence in the Southeast, especially Florida, where many of these strategic towers and rooftops are located.”
“We are proud of the business we have developed at ANI for our clients through the years, and believe that by combining with GTP the joint businesses will be better positioned to serve and grow these assets on behalf of our owners” said Gary Starkweather, Vice President, ANI Site Development. Mr. Starkweather will continue as an Officer of ANI to assist in the management and merging of the portfolios.
“The merger with GTP offers our owners continued opportunities for growth by leveraging their resources, access to capital and national scope of carrier contacts throughout the wireless industry”, noted Terry Rhoades, President, ANI Site Development.
"The ANI portfolio is highly unique and represents a great complement to one of our most important core markets – South Florida” said Terry Armant, Senior Vice President of Development, Global Tower Partners. "Furthermore, the additional towers and rooftops will offer our customers a variety of new wireless site solutions throughout the Southeast to assist them in enhancing their coverage needs."
Post the closing of the ANI merger, GTP will own, manage and master lease some 8,300 sites throughout the United States, including 2,500 owned communications towers. The transaction closed on April 20, 2007. As privately held entities, GTP and ANI consider the terms and conditions of the definitive agreements proprietary.
