Global Tower Partners to Acquire Chinook Wireless Communications Tower Portfolio
Acquisition Enhances GTP’s Western U.S. Footprint.
BOCA RATON, FL, June 1 – Global Tower Partners (“GTP”) today announced the signing of a definitive agreement to acquire seventy-seven (77) communications towers from MTPCS, LLC (dba: Chinook Wireless). Chinook Wireless holds 1900 MHz licenses in eight BTA’s, covering a population base in excess of one million across the State of Montana and parts of Northern Wyoming.

“This agreement significantly increases our liquidity and establishes an alliance that we believe will benefit both companies as we continue to grow,” said Jonathan Foxman, chief executive officer and president of Chinook Wireless. “In addition, GTP has agreed to invest in further expanding our network with new tower builds, which in turn will benefit our customers and their coverage needs.”

After the closing of the Chinook Wireless acqiuisition, GTP will own or master lease some 9,806 sites, including 2,074 owned communications towers. The Chinook Wireless transaction is expected to close in August 2006.
