Purpose:
Responsible for assisting in the research, data input and
modeling to facilitate tower structural studies associated with
tenant equipment installations. Collect, verify and catalog
tenant equipment data for the purpose of the structural analysis of
GTP assets and/or asset acquisition purchases. Administrate
tenant purchase orders for services.
Job Functions:
- Receive, record and process tenant purchase orders for
engineering services.
- Facilitate tenant installations, tower modifications, and
acquisitions by researching existing tower and foundation data for
internal customers. (Regional Site Managers (RSM), M&A,
Development, Modifications, etc.)
- Obtain tower & foundation data from tower manufacturers and
GTP asset files, review for accuracy.
- Coordinate tower and/or foundation mappings studies with RSM,
as required. This requires obtaining competitive quotes for
best pricing.
- Assist in the entry of tenant equipment and asset data into
structural analysis modeling program and other
databases.
- Perform structural analysis of various equipment configurations
in modeling program
- Preparation and processing of structural certification
documents/studies for PE approval and sealing.
- Transmit & receive structural report requests to outside
firms, as required.
- Transmission of structural reports & structural letters to
tenants & GTP asset files
- Entry of asset structural loading data into GTP database
tracking system
- Update & administration of engineering services group
(Global Tower Services) status tracker
- Interface with acquisition group in the pre-acquisition
analysis of target assets
- Various "data mining" activities for asset structural
data. Spreadsheet summarization of same.
- Assist with the development of asset loading reports and
reporting methodology, as requested
- Track engineering services KPIs and report to Operations
management.
- Support tower safety repair program and manage vendors involved
with this program.
Working Conditions and Physical
Demands:
Working in a combination of field and office environments.
Job may involve limited travel to sites and meeting places for
field activities.
Qualifications:
- Minimum four year degree, preferably in civil engineering,
physics or other engineering field.
- Strong knowledge of MS Excel & other Office suite
products.
- Engineer-in-Training certificate is desirable.
- Previous experience with structural modeling software is a
plus.
- Previous tower-company or construction related, experience is a
plus.
- Demonstrated mastery in multiple tasking
- Communicates honestly, clearly, and frequently
- Aptitude for success in corporate environment
- Effective in an entrepreneurial culture, working independently
and as part of a team.
- Must be a self starter with the ability to work with minimal
supervision. Willingness to take on additional
responsibilities as presented.
