GTP was founded in 2002 and began operations in October 2003. Marc Ganzi, the company's Chief Executive Officer, was the sole founder. Ganzi's background and success as the leader of GTP demonstrates his success as an entrepreneur and business operator. Ganzi was educated at Wharton and the son of a entrepreneur who still leads a nationally known company. Ganzi also brings his experience as the Founder and President of Apex Site Management, a company which leased rooftop space to telecom carriers and later sold to SpectraSite, the third largest national tower company, and as a consulting partner at Deutsche Capital Partners in New York City. While at Deutsche Bank, Mr. Ganzi was tasked with assisting and overseeing the institutions investments in the radio tower sector in Latin and North America. He is also a Co-founder of Eureka Broadband Corporation, a leading provider of high speed data and telephony services to major office buildings in the United States.
Ganzi and the senior management team, with over 50 years of telecommunications experience, bring their in-depth knowledge and expertise to bear for the benefit for GTP and its stakeholders.
Since GTP's inception in 2003, it has become the largest privately-owned tower company in the United States and the fourth largest company in this industry sector.
