BOCA RATON--(BUSINESS WIRE)-May 10, 2007- Global Tower Partners (the "Company") announced today that it intends to securitize revenues from 2,074 wireless and broadcast communications towers owned by various special-purpose subsidiaries of the Company. The securitization is expected to involve an offering, in a private transaction, of approximately $480 million of Commercial Mortgage-Backed Notes. The notes will be backed by debt of the special-purpose subsidiaries that will be secured primarily by mortgages on their interests in the communications towers and the related tower sites. The servicing and repayment of the certificates are expected to be made solely from the cash flows generated by the communications towers that are a part of the transaction.
The Company expects to use the net proceeds from this offering to repay certain outstanding indebtedness and for general corporate purposes. There can be no assurance that the offering of the certificates will be consummated or that the tender offer and consent solicitation will be successful. Global Tower Partners is the 4th largest independent owner and operator of wireless communications sites in the U.S. with a portfolio of approximately 2,200 owned towers and 5,600 available collocation sites.
