BOCA RATON, FL, April 6, 2010 - Global Tower Partners ("GTP") announced today it has signed a definitive agreement with Brookfield Properties Corp. ("Brookfield") to market and lease rooftop access to wireless carriers at 26 of the company's DC, VA and MD metro market properties. Brookfield is a commercial real estate corporation that owns, develops and operates office assets nationwide. GTP markets their clients' rooftops as potential sites for wireless telecommunications carriers and fiber providers. Equipment installed in or on properties fortifies wireless carriers' existing coverage and assists expansion to new markets.
"These properties represent a premier set of urban and suburban
rooftop assets in our nation's capital," said Marc C. Ganzi, Chief
Executive Officer, Global Tower Partners. "We are very pleased to
assist Brookfield in maximizing the wireless access potential of
its DC real estate portfolio."
"The properties owned by Brookfield complement our existing
rooftops in one of our highest growth markets," said Andrew
Brodeur, Vice President of Real Estate for GTP. "We also
expect these properties to offer additional solutions to our
wireless provider customers to enhance their coverage and network
quality in Washington DC and its surrounding areas."
Adding these Brookfield assets increases the number of sites GTP
will own, manage and/or master lease to over 10,200 sites
throughout the United States, including over 3,300 owned
communications towers.
