Small Cell

You may have heard the term "small cell" over the last couple of years.  It is finally gaining traction and carriers want to deploy tens of thousands over the next few years.  GTP's rooftop portfolio puts it at the forefront of small cell.  This could have a significant impact on your rent rolls.

What is Small Cell?

In general, small cell is a much smaller cell site than what is traditional.  It is much lower in height than a traditional cell site (30 feet), there is less equipment,  and they are closer together.    Rent will be lower than with traditional sites, but there will be many more opportunities.    Industrial sites and 2 and 3 story buildings are great small cell locations. 

What does it mean for you?

Since there will likely be thousands of these opportunities (all at lower rent), we need to approach small cell differently and be able to get deals done quickly and easily.   Some of the things GTP is working on with some of our clients are:
